Rescue 3 UK at the RDCP
A New and Exciting Partnership
Rescue 3 (UK) have entered into a partnership with the RDCP to make the park a regional training centre for all of its training courses. As the preferred training provider for Rescue 3 International courses in the UK and Republic of Ireland they have been co-ordinating the delivery of Rescue 3 International training in these countries since 1997. To date over 3000 people have trained through the Rescue 3 programme in the UK and Ireland.
As well as providing the full range of Rescue 3 courses Rescue 3 (UK) is responsible for the certification of Rescue 3 Instructors in the UK and Ireland and post-certification updates and quality assurance of instructors. To-date there are Rescue 3 certified Instructors within 15 UK and 3 Irish Fire & Rescue Services and a number of mountain rescue teams.
Rescue 3 (UK) continues to develop new courses and has led the way in the development of swiftwater rescue training in the UK and Ireland including the creation of the first ‘Rescues from Vehicles in Water’ course and the hosting of specialist Flood Management Seminars.
Our courses are internationally recognised and form the base training for many emergency services, whitewater professionals and rescue teams. Organisations and agencies that we have trained include:

The training we deliver is an intensive mix of classroom and river-based sessions and there are various levels of training available - Awareness, Operations, Technician, Instructor and Management. We run these courses on scheduled dates across the year and places can be booked on an individual basis or as contracted courses for groups of 4 or more on suitable dates.
Courses run from our base at the River Dart Country Park and benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities on the River Dart nd including a fully-equipped classroom training centre, extensive personal protective equipment and technical equipment stores and on-site accomodation.
All the courses we run are registered with Rescue 3 International. Several of the courses run by Rescue 3 (UK) are endorsed by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
